TOWARD YOUR COLLEGE EDUCATION!

MELA is pleased to offer Maine residents, or out-of-state students attending school in Maine, the chance to win $2,500 towards your college education. Recipients must be current undergraduate or graduate college students or high school seniors planning to pursue a two- or four-year degree on at least a half-time basis. Unlike other scholarships available, the MELA Web Scholarship is fast and easy, with no lengthy application necessary, no need to write an essay, send recommendations, or demonstrate financial need. Just sign up to enter a random drawing and eight lucky winners will be chosen to win $2,500. It's that easy! The next four winners will be drawn in January 2009.

Online MELA scholarship criteria:
1. Winner must be a Maine resident attending an in-state or out-of-state accredited school or an out-of-state resident attending a Maine accredited school.
2. Must be enrolled full- or part-time in an accredited school program by Spring 2009.
3. Scholarship must be used during the 2008-2009 school year or eligibility is void.
4. Winner will be notified upon verification of enrollment by school's Admissions Office.
5. All portions of scholarship email application must be filled out in order to qualify.
6. Winner agrees to allow MELA to issue a news release announcing his/her scholarship.
7. MELA and MES employees and family members are ineligible to enter drawing.College and University employees and family members are also ineligible to enter drawing.
